Fabulously Frugal

23 Sep

Let’s face it, if there’s one thing every girl spends way too much money on, it’s beauty products. I have slowly been trying to replace all of my designer brand make up with drugstore brands, but the process is going slowly. At least I can say that I’m using my frugal fashionista skills to get the best possible deals on the items I am willing to splurge on. Take yesterday for example: I went to Sephora.com to order a new powder that I’m almost out of. Before checking out, I visited http://www.retailmenot.com and scored some awesome promo codes for free shipping and extra free product samples. Not only did I save myself a trip across town by ordering online, but by being smart and checking for discount coupons I garnered some extra swag. Who doesn’t love free stuff? I can’t wait to try out the sample mascara which is on its way! (Not to mention, sample size items are great for traveling, especially when you just plan to bring a carry-on.) The moral of the story is to never checkout your online shopping cart until you’ve googled for promo codes. Speaking of online shopping, I think I need a little distraction before I decide to start my homework….

Bisous,

Rachel
