Monogrammed Rain Boots

4 May

Okay, let’s go ahead and file this under “things I really don’t need and probably won’t get but really really love and am lusting over anyway.” Rain boots are just about the most impractical thing when you live in the middle of the desert. Unless it’s August through October, and then it’s Monsoon season and time to pull out the Hunter’s. But if I lived somewhere else, say, Seattle or so- I think I would need to buy these:

Initial monogrammed rain boots, $89 from Zou Baby

Ummm P.S. they also do greek letter monograms. As in- sorority letters. I’m dying.

Here are some other rain boots which have been on my radar and could be trusty staples during the Texas July thunderstorms:

Hunter rain boots, available in a rainbow of colors. $125 on Zappos.com

I have these in grey, and I love throwing these tall boots on over American Apparel leggings when I need to walk through campus in the rain. This violet color is so perfect for summer and fall.

And if you’re like me and don’t like to spend a ton of money on things, you’ll probably enjoy these:

Lavender Target wellies

These electric violet rain boots from Target are only $17.48, and would be very satisfactory for splashing around in muddy puddles.

What’s your rain boot style? Vibrant, polka dot, classic? I want to know! What else are musts for you on rainy days? Back when I lived at home my dad used to try to force me to take a plastic poncho to school with me…. I resisted with all the energy in my body. Umbrellas, raincoats, trenches, how do you stay chic in the rain?

Bisous,

Rachel

These boots are so cute! I live in Australia, and it’s virtually impossible to find cute rain-boots. The lavender pair are adorable!

    Loving your blog…
